FAQs
Q. How far are you from the Airport?
A. We are located about 20km from the airport or about a 45-50 minute drive. Cabs are easy to get hold of on arrival, or if you prefer we can organise the transfer for you.

Q. What is the proximity to good restaurants, entertainment and stores/supermarkets?
A. There are a good variety of down to earth, authentic local restaurants, as well as more exclusive dining options and fast food outlets within walking distance or 5 minutes of the apartments by bus/car. Speightstown, a charming local town, is located a 5 minute walk away where you'll find the Caribbean Gallery of Art as well as various local stores, banks, supermarkets, etc. You’ll also find local street vendors selling fresh fruit & vegetables. There is live steel pan music on selected nights at ‘Fisherman’s Pub’, the most famous venue in Speightstown. If it’s a wider variety of bars and clubs you are looking for you’ll find it at the West Coast resort of Holetown just 15-minutes away by bus or car.

Q. Is there a beach nearby and is the sea safe for children?
A. At Heywood’s Beach (literally a 30 second stroll from the apartments) you'll find all the water sports, beach chairs, swimming & bathing opportunity you'll need for yourself and the children. The water there is very calm and ideal for children, though of course children should be monitored at all times. There is also one of the most popular and intimate beaches (Mullins Bay) located just 5 minutes away by bus or car. The beach right out front is ideal for snorkelling, with one of the islands most vibrant coral reefs teeming with tropical fish.

Q. Is the area safe? Are there many visitors or other properties in the area?
A. On the whole Barbados is very safe and locals are very friendly - but the Speightstown area has a renowned reputation for being especially safe and tranquil. There is a very real and endearing ambience about the area…something guests always comment on. The area has one big all-inclusive resort, a number of small sets of holiday apartments and some holiday villas. The area is fast becoming a favourite haunt with the more discerning overseas visitors.

Q. Is the small road in front of your apartments noisy?
A. The Speightstown area is, in general, very quiet by Barbados standards with fewer road users. The volume of traffic on the small road separating us from the beach is tiny. It is by-passed by the main coastal road. In the five plus years we have been open we have never received one complaint about the noise level from the road, but have had many compliments about the tranquillity of the spot.

Q. What are the Transport facilities?
A. The Speightstown bus terminal is located less than 5 minutes walk away where you’ll find frequent services down the West Coast to the Capital Bridgetown, the vibrant South Coast and across the interior to the rugged East Coast. The Speightstown to Bathsheba route is especially picturesque. If it is a thorough exploration of the Island you are seeking then the Caspian Beach Apartments will make the ideal base with the majority of the major attractions being in the central and northern parts of the island. We can organise your car rental or island tour for you according to your specific requirements.

Q. What variety of beds and facilities do you have in your apartments?
A. Every one of our bedrooms offers a queen size bed and en-suite shower room. Bedrooms are fully air-conditioned, as is the living area. There are also ceiling fans to be used along with the soothing Caribbean breeze when the windows are open. Each apartment (other than the studio) offers great views of the sparkling Caribbean Sea from its balcony, whether west, north or south facing. Double sofa bed, Digital Cable TV, direct-dial telephone and in-room safety deposit box are amongst the other facilities.

Q. Are your rates negotiable?
A. We work hard to maintain affordable rates and we believe our standard rates reflect the excellent value of our product. In the high season when there is high demand our rates are pretty firmly fixed, however in the low season (mid-April to mid-December) we are more flexible and frequently offer special rates. Do keep checking our website or contact us for details. We also offer group concessions and significant savings on longer stays (of 14 nights and over) throughout the year. We rent per apartment based on the requested occupancy – not per person.

Q. What exactly does ‘self-contained’ mean in the case of your apartments?
A. All apartments are exactly that – completely self-contained. They have their own well-equipped kitchen facility, even their own broom and dustpan & brush so guests have the option of doing their own upkeep. Cleaning of the apartment by the House Keeper is usually once per week, though we can certainly organise for this to happen more frequently during your stay if you so please. If it is laundry service you are looking for, the House Keeper offers next day return of clothes at BBD $30 per load inclusive.

Q. What other services do you offer other than those listed in your brochure?
A. We are happy to organise your airport transfers, car hire and island tours and take pride in finding the best deals possible for our guests whilst patronizing reputable local firms and entrepreneurs. Cooking of meals can be organised. Laptops can be hooked up to the phone jacks in the apartments. We offer Internet access from the office and also provide guests the opportunity to make use of exclusive tennis facilities.

Q. Is your establishment certified to operate by the relevant authorities?
A. We are fully licensed to operate by the Barbados Tourism Authority and are in the process of receiving Green Globe 21 certification.
